Champions School of Real Estate® has offered real estate, loan, appraisal and inspection licensing and renewal classes, as well as designations, certifications and business etiquette classes to thousands of Texas real estate professionals since its founding in 1983. Students at any age of their career, whether they are just starting, are seeking a designation or needing to complete their continuing education courses, can receive the education they need from Champions School of Real Estate®.
“We have every age attending Champions, from young adults (Gen Y) to our Baby Boomers,” says Kim Dydalewicz, president of Champions School of Real Estate®. “Our courses are designed to serve people seeking to become licensed, as well as CE courses for our students needing to renew.”
As the largest real estate education provider in Texas, Champions School of Real Estate® offers classroom courses with both day and evening schedules on campus seven days a week. Students also have the option to take their courses online or via ChampionsLive webinars.
“We have a classroom schedule or course delivery format that will fit everyone’s needs,” Dydalewicz says. “It is important to us that our students always have the best and most current materials, which is why we are so proud to have our own in-house curriculum development department. Our brilliant team writes and updates the course curriculum for over 100 courses! In addition, our brick and mortar campuses are beautiful, spacious and welcoming, and we have the most caring ‘Champions Family’ in the state of Texas.”
Champions School of Real Estate® founder Rita Santamaria, a licensed broker with a background in education, recognized a need for real estate education upon moving to Texas from Florida. “Opening Champions School of Real Estate® was the perfect marriage of Rita’s passion for teaching and her experience in the real estate industry,” Dydalewicz says.
The original campus opened in Houston in December 1983, and since then, Champions School of Real Estate® has flourished. Now 36 years later, Champions School of Real Estate® has an impressive network of seven physical locations in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio, in addition to a robust online campus and eight state-of-the-art studios from which ChampionsLive Courses are broadcast.
In addition to expanding their geographic footprint, Champions School of Real Estate has also expanded its educational offerings.
“In 2013, we expanded our division to include professional development with our successful two-day business etiquette course. In 2018, we began to broadcast a series of monthly live interviews featuring top-producing agents and our founder Rita Santamaria,” Dydalewicz says. “The knowledge students receive from these interviews are so valuable that we encapsulated their experiences into a new book series, “Successful Tendencies of Real Estate Champions.” The books (the second volume will be released before the 2019 holiday season) feature stories, tips and secrets to success in the real estate industry shared by our very own Champions students.”
As Champions School of Real Estate® has grown, it has maintained a commitment to employing high-quality educators with industry experience. Currently, Champions School of Real Estate® has over 100 part-time instructors in Texas. “We have top producers, team leaders, broker-owners, commercial brokers, professional inspectors, certified general appraisers and RMLO instructors teaching our students. They are the finest in the state,” Dydalewicz says. “Our instructors are hand-picked and must have at least five years of experience in the area to which they are applying to teach. In addition, our interview process requires that potential new additions to our teaching team also be interviewed by our full-time staff instructors. Our Champions team truly cares about the success of our students!”
A four-time National Pinnacle Award winning school, it’s no secret that Champions School of Real Estate® invests in the future of its students.
“Our biannual Career Fairs at our Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio campuses bring together over 500 brokerages to help our students find their real estate career homes,” Dydalewicz says. “We also have brokerages come in daily to provide breakfast, lunch or dinner and share information about their brokerages to help our students choose where to hang their license.”
