Located within a mile of downtown Dripping Springs, Caliterra is a new home community that opened in 2015. Nestled quietly along Onion Creek, Caliterra, which is being developed by Allegiant Realty Partners, plans to have over 600 homesites when completed.

Location

“Caliterra’s location allows easy access to the day-to-day needs of the family and a base to everything Central Texas has to offer, says Scott Rogers, regional vice president in charge of Community Operations and Development for Caliterra. “We’re located just over 20 miles southwest of downtown Austin at the gateway to the Texas Hill Country. On a weekend, our residents could drive to Austin for a music festival on Saturday and then spend Sunday taking a stroll through the quaint small town of Fredericksburg.”

Within a few minutes, residents can drive to Downtown Dripping Springs, HEB Grocery, and Home Depot, as well as the highly regarded Dripping Springs ISD. Additionally, with the opening of Belterra Village, new restaurants and entertainment are less than 15 minutes from the community.

Homes

New home prices in Caliterra range from $300,000 to over $1 Million. In addition to an array of price points, residents can choose from three of the top luxury production builders – Scott Felder Homes, Brookfield Residential, and Drees Custom Homes. Additionally, they offer floor plans from five fully custom home builders, including Sterling Custom Homes, Arbogast Custom Homes, Lake Travis Builders, Sommerfeld Construction Inc. and Alkire Construction.

Diverse price points and home options have led Caliterra to see a variety of residents within the community. “While we expected more young families when we first opened, we have found that we have attracted residents from all phases of their life,” Rogers says. “Along with young families, we are attracting more families with older children, those that find themselves new empty nesters, and those who are active seniors enjoying life.”

Amenities

Caliterra residents can enjoy many amenities and features within the community, such as an on-site coffee shop, community pavilion, splash pad, playscape, pool complex and more. “This Fall, we will be opening a dog park for our furry residents and a firepit oasis,” Rogers says. “We also look forward to holding more community events, including farmers markets, 5k runs, car shows, and movies and concerts in the park.”

Even as new homes and amenities are built, Caliterra remains true to its commitment to preserving its natural beauty. Recently, Caliterra completed an additional 6,000 feet of new trails through the open space in the community, bringing the total to about three miles of real nature trails. Additionally, they have preserved over 250 acres of pristine Hill Country serve as the community backyard.

Land Development

“We respect the responsibility that we have as developers and take seriously the stewardship we feel the land deserves, which is why our community has access to nature like no other,” Rogers says. “Many communities may have great views over the rooftops of other residents, but we have the ability to take a stroll through untouched landscapes and drop a fishing line into Onion Creek. Living with nature can really be relaxing, so don’t be surprised as your stress melts away turning into Caliterra.”

For homebuyers interested in living in close proximity to the conveniences of Austin and Dripping Springs yet surrounded by nature and the Hill Country, Caliterra is the place to be. “As you leave Austin and get closer to Dripping Springs, you really do feel that you are entering the Gateway to the Hill Country,” Rogers says. “You can feel yourself relaxing and contemplating what you will do once you get home, where the pace of life just slows down. Once you are home, you have everything you need close at hand. I truly feel you will find yourself ‘At Home With Nature’ in Caliterra.”
